Range Use Regulations
DAYLIGHT USE ONLY

NOT ENGAGE STEEL TARGETS CLOSER THAN 10 YARDS.

The SPSA range is designed for shooting
of handguns and shotguns only. All
rounds fired must impact into the berm.

No rifles of any kind may be fired on the
SPSA range at any time. This includes
.22LR rifles and also handguns that shoot rifle cartridges (TC in 308
etc). This is a safety issue and there
will be no exceptions.

Shooting of aerial targets or shooting
targets placed on the ground where bullets may ricochet over the berm is STRICTLY
FORBIDDEN. If you want to shoot
cans or the like make sure they are at the base of the berm or on the berm and
not out in the middle of a bay where ricochets can occur. Do not shoot glass of any kind.

This range facility will be used so as
not to endanger the residences located on adjacent property.

Members will have unlimited DAYLIGHT only
range access but no shooting is allowed before 9:00AM Monday thru Saturday or
before 1:00PM on Sundays. No firing after dark will be allowed.

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
will be allowed on the range at any time for any purpose.

On our scheduled match days the range
will be operated as a cold range. All
guns on the range will be kept UNLOADED in a bag or holster. Revolvers, chambers empty and cylinder
closed. Automatics, chamber empty,
slide closed, magazine out, hammer down.
The only place you can handle a gun is at the safe area or on a match
stage when it is your turn to shoot.
No ammo may be handled at the safe area. When participating in a match stage, the
range officer on the stage will instruct you when to load and make ready. CWP holder’s who come to participate in the
match, or just to watch, are asked to leave their carry weapon in their vehicle
while at the range.

Members may bring target materials to the
range for practice. The member will be
responsible for cleaning up and removing all materials from the range after
each use. Target stands are available
on the range. DO NOT STAPLE TARGETS
TO THE RANGE PROPS OR BARRICADES PLEASE, OR PLACE TARGETS IN FRONT OF THEM.

The steel plate rack is available for use
as a practice target. Care must be taken
when shooting any steel target. DO
NOT ENGAGE STEEL TARGETS OF ANY TYPE CLOSER THAN 10 YARDS.

Members
in good standing may bring guests to the range. The accompanying member is responsible for
the guest while on the range.

All
members and their guests must wear safety or shooting glasses and hearing
protection while on the range.
MEMBERSHIP
REQUIREMENTS
Sponsorship by a current member of SPSA is
required to be considered for membership.
Maintaining an NRA Membership is required of all members of
SPSA. The new member approval process
requires that the new member’s name must be run in two monthly newsletters
membership approval before the new member receives range privileges.
